Sophomore forward netted a league-high three goals over the weekend
PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer standout Tyler Witmer has been named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and Soccer-Six Co-Player of the Week, announced the conference and league today. Witmer netted a league-high three goals in a 1-1-0 Owls' weekend.
In action on Friday, Witmer accounted for both goals in TU's tough 3-2 overtime loss to Navy. Sunday, he netted the eventual game-winner just before half to lift the Owls to a 2-0 win over Albany. Witmer is tied for first in the A-10 with two game-winning goals.
The Wernersville, Pa. (Conrad Weiser) native currently leads the team in goals (4) and points (8), while ranking third in the conference in goals.
Look for the Cherry and White back in action on Wednesday, September 23, when host Soccer-Six rival Penn at 3:30 p.m.
