Watson Named ECAC Women's Gymnast Of The Week

Sophomore took fourth in the all-around at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational
CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference today, Temple women's gymnast sophomore Kaity Watson had been named ECAC Division I Gymnast of the Week.
Watson (Newark Valley, N.Y./Newark Valley) had a tremendous showing in the all-around at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational, hosted by George Washington. Placing fourth on vault and sixth on bars, she placed fourth in the all-around (38.00) to lead Temple to a second place finish.
The Owls were only out placed by formidable North Carolina, and topped non-conference foe George Washington for the first time since 1990.
Opening the season at the University of Maryland Invitational, Watson placed fifth in the all-around with a score of 36.325.
Temple is back in action this weekend when they travel to compete against Ursinus, Sunday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m.
