Owls fared well at Navy Day Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - Temple Women's Crew finished a busy weekend strong making huge strides over its first race this fall. On Saturday, the Owls competed in the annual Navy Day Regatta on the Schuylkill River against major schools including Saint Joseph's, Army, Drexel, Rutgers, and Navy. The Varsity 8 boat finished in the top half of the collegiate crews, while the JV 8 and Varsity 4 turned in solid efforts.

The Owls then competed in the Susan G. Koman “Row for the Cure” on Sunday where the Varsity 8 took first, and the JV 8 took second over Saint Joseph's.

“The fall season is really a time to try new lineups and get an idea of what works, and what doesn't,” says head coach Tim Hagan. “There are still things we need to work on as a team, but we are confident in our girls to get where they need to be by the spring season.”
