Trevor Singer Named Assistant Men's Soccer Coach

Singer promoted after spending a year as graduate assistant
PHILADELPHIA - Trevor Singer, who spent the past season as the Owls' graduate assistant, has been named assistant coach of the Temple men's soccer team.
"I am very excited for the opportunity to continue to work with the men's soccer team," said Singer. "My experience as a graduate assistant with the team over the past season has been tremendous, and I look forward to my new role as an Owl."
Singer, who is working toward a Master's degree in Sport and Recreation Management, was an assistant coach for two seasons at the University of Maine before joining the Owls' staff. At Maine, Singer mentored two America East All Academic team selections, fourteen America East Academic honor roll selections, a NEISL All-Star, an America East All-Rookie team player, and oversaw his 2008 squad garner the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
For the past two years, Singer has been a part of the Region I Olympic Development Staff and also earned his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
Prior to his stint at Maine, Singer was an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Massachusetts. During his coaching time he assisted in training All-America, Umbro National Player of the Year goalkeeper Zach Simmons.
As a student-athlete, Singer began his career at Rider, where he earned MAAC All-Rookie honors as a freshman, and MAAC All-Academic team honors as a sophomore. Transferring to UMass as a junior, he helped lead his team to a #22 ranking his first year. In his final year of eligibility, Singer and the Minutemen earned a #4 ranking in the nation and captured the Atlantic 10 Title, while competing to the final four of the NCAA College Cup.
Currently, the Phoenixville, Pa. native is a certified USSF B Licensed coach and coaches the FC Delco U15 USSF Academy team on which two national pool players and one national team player participate.
