Owls look to keep win streak alive against the Bobcats

ATHENS, Ohio - The Temple women's basketball team has won nail-biters in its last two games, and the Owls will look to keep the win streak alive when they face Ohio on Monday, Dec. 6 at 7:00 p.m. There is a free webcast available for fans HERE.
This is just the second-ever meeting between Temple and Ohio. The Owls lead the series 1-0 after a 65-43 win in Philadelphia last season.
The Owls have won two straight games by a combined total of three points, defeating Rutgers 60-58 at home on Dec. 1 and going on the road to beat Auburn, 62-61 on Dec. 4. The victory at Auburn was the 50th career win for third-year head coach Tonya Cardoza.
Junior Shey Peddy was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her efforts in Temple's two recent wins. At Auburn, Peddy led the team in points (17), rebounds (9), assists (4) and steals (3). In the close victory against Rutgers, Peddy sank 2-of-2 at the free throw line with 2.3 seconds remaining for the final tally of 60-58.
Temple hit 10 three-pointers in back-to-back games at UCLA and vs. Rutgers. The Owls are averaging 7.8 treys per game (second in the A-10) and hitting 39.7 percent of their three-point attempts (first in the A-10).
Ohio is 2-4 after losing three straight, including a 54-44 defeat at the hands of the A-10's George Washington. Tenishia Benson leads the team with 13.3 points per game as well as 6.2 rebounds per game.
