PHILADELPHIA – Temple men's soccer head coach Dave MacWilliams and his staff are excited to announce their Residential Soccer Camps, held July 18-22 and July 25-29 at Temple's Ambler Campus. The colleges in attendance include Temple University, Rutgers University, Drexel University, LaSalle University, University of Delaware, Siena College, with more to come.

The camp staff will also include former Temple University players that are now playing among the professional ranks. The camp features special topics and lectures such as a college recruitment seminar, nutritionist lecture, and a sport psychologist discussion.

The college recruitment seminar will discuss to all the campers the most efficient ways about pursuing the right college in terms of level, how to be recruited, academics, location, size of school, and many other aspects. All high school juniors in attendance will receive individual meetings with Coach MacWilliams himself. These meetings will offer campers insight into how they are progressing and where they could possibly fit into the college game.

The nutritionist lecture will be given by a certified athletic trainer discussing the correct food to eat before and after a match, how to prepare your body for a game, and the do's and don'ts of food consumption to maintain peak performance.

A division one college coach will discuss the mental aspects of the game and how to cope with them. Some topics will include but are not limited to: Mental Toughness. Goal Setting. What do you do when you are having a bad game? How to mentally prepare for a game? How to have a productive self evaluation?

The camp will also consist of a 3v3 tournament, soccer tennis tournament and full sided 11v11 games in a World Cup style format. The camp also features "team training," where coaches can send their entire team to the camp so they can experience the features of the camp as a group.
