TU Women's Crew Brings Home Gold in Keuper Cup

Owls take first in three events
FELSMERE, FL - The Temple women's crew had a solid day at the Keuper Regatta, held on Canal 54 in Felsmere, FL on Saturday. The Owls took gold in three events, the Varsity 8, JV 8 and Varsity 4+. In addition, the men's and women's teams combined to win the overall team point trophy.
With the benefit of a strong tailwind and a productive week of training the crews recorded very fast winning times.
The winning Varsity 8 boat consisted of cox Erin Buchanan, stroke Mary Webster, Allison Boc, Taylor Wasserleben, Bailey Chick, Jeanine Lees, Joanna Sutor, Nicole Wagner and Brynn Moore.
Temple's winning JV 8 was comprised of Isabella Bourbon (cox), Paige O' Sullivan (stroke), Dana Meadows (7-seat), Kara Jackson (6-seat), Megan Hanlin (5-seat), Kendra Dickerson (4-seat), Megan Welsh (3-seat), Caitlin Pennington (2-seat) and Angela Flinn (bow).
The crew which took home gold for the Owls in Varsity 4+ was cox Alexis Coomey, stroke Ryan Ellenbaum, Caludia Loeber, Ridgley and Allison Bates.
The squad is next in action at the Occoquan Sprints in Fairfax, Va. on March 28.
