PHILADELPHIA – Scoring a season-high 191.025, the Temple women's gymnastics team placed third Friday night at the Penn Quad-Meet. The Owls were led all-around by freshman Jean Alban, who scored 37.725 all-around.
Maryland tallied a meet high 194.450, followed by host Penn 191.325.
Sophomore Corrine Williams also had a solid night, scoring 9.550 on vault, and tying for first with teammate junior Katie Canning on beam with a score of 9.775.
Also on beam, senior Nina Oteri continues to show consistency in her routine, posting a score of 9.725.
On bars, junior Chelsea Troutman led the Owls with a score of 9.575, followed by sophomore Kaity Watson with a score of 9.475.
Williams led the Owls on floor as well, recording a score of 9.775. Oteri earned high marks in the event as well, scoring an average of 9.750.
Up next the Owls travel to William & Mary on March 21, with competition slated for 2:00 p.m.
