PHILADELPHIA – Despite leading 8-7 with less than 10 minutes remaining, the Temple lacrosse team suffered a loss to Delaware (2-4) who scored three goals in a two-minute span and won 10-8. The Owls have yet to win at home this season, but are 2-4 overall with a pair of road wins.

The Blue Hens' Ali Libertini scored a game-high three goals, including the one with 8:42 remaining that tied the score at 8-8. Teammates Corrine Drost and Julianna Jeffers tallied the final two goals that put Delaware on top.

Freshman Stephany Parcell scored two goals for Temple, both in the first 11 minutes of the game.

Neither team ever led by more than two in the back-and-forth contest, but Temple held a 5-3 lead at halftime after Kelsey Zenuk's second score, assisted by Chelsea Rosiek.

The game was tied at 6-6 before Delaware took a 7-6 lead, but Temple's Melissa Schweitzer and Stephanie Markunas both scored on free position shots to briefly give TU its 8-7 lead.

Temple goalkeeper Jessica Colucci recorded the 11th double-digit save performance of her career with 11 saves in the game.

The Owls will play twice on the road next weekend. First up is a game at Richmond on Friday, March 26 at 3:30 p.m.
