Mason leads Temple with a first round 77

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Junior Andrew Mason shot a team-best 77 in the first round of the Furman Invitational, Friday afternoon in Greenville, S.C., helping the Temple men's golf team to a tied for 19th place finish on day one.
Junior Mark Edmundson and senior Eric Plisko tied for 70th, both carding opening day scores of 78. Junior Joseph Kim shot 79 on the day to tie for 90th, and redshirt-freshman Devin Bibeau ended the day with an 88.
Western Carolina's Tanner Briele led the field shooting 65, but it was Clemson and Chattanooga tying for first with team totals of 289.
Second round action continues Saturday, March 20.
