Owls’ junior placed first in 400m and met ECAC marks
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Announced by the league today, Temple women's track & field junior Paris Williams has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Track & Field Performer of the Week honors for the week ending April 12, sharing the award with Dayton's Mallory Barnes.
Williams (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) posted the Owls' lone first-place finish, meeting ECAC qualifying marks in the 400m with a time of 55.45 at the Lou Onesty Invitational hosted by the University of Virginia. She then teamed with the 4x400m relay squad to take a second-place finish, nabbing ECAC qualifying marks in a time of 3:47.09.
The Cherry and White are back in action this Friday, April 16, when they compete at the Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian College.
