Golf In 12th Place After First Round at Rutherford Intercollegiate

University Park, PA - The Temple golf team was in 12th place after the first round of competition Saturday at the Rutherford Intercollegiate held on Penn State's 7,202 yard, par 72 Blue Course. Second round play was suspended and will be completed in the morning with the third round commencing after a 45-minute break.
Junior Mark Edmondson led the Owls and was tied fifth overall with a one-over 72. Junior Joe Kim was next for Temple with a 78 to tie for 42nd while Junior Andrew Mason was one shot back and tied for 48th. Redshirt freshman Devin Bibeau (82, t-66) and senior Eric Plizko (85, 66th) rounded out the TU golfers.
Penn State led the field with 291, seven strokes ahead of Ohio University (298) and 20 better than the Owls (311).
