Women's Crew Earns Four Medals At Bergen Cup

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's crew team picked up four medals at the Bergen Cup Regatta held on the Schuylkill River Saturday. The Owls Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8 and Freshman/Novice 4 took home bronze medals while TU's Varsity 4 earned a silver medal.
"We rowed well" Temple head coach Tim Hagan said. "but we still have some work to do over the next two weeks in preparation for the Dad Vails."
The Owls' Varsity 8, comprised of Isabella Bourbon (cox), Mary Webster (stroke), Allison Boc (7-seat), Taylor Wasserleben (6-seat), Bailey Chick (5-seat), Jeanine Lees (4-seat), Joanna Sutor (3-seat), Nicole Wagner (2-seat) and Brynn Moore (bow), finished behind Drexel and Saint Joseph's.
Temple's Second Varsity 8 was comprised of Erin Buchanan (cox), Paige O' Sullivan (stroke), Dana Meadows (7-seat), Kara Jackson (6-seat), Megan Welsh (5-seat), Kendra Dickerson (4-seat), Claudia Loeber
(3-seat), Caitlin Pennington (2-seat) and Angela Flinn (bow).
The Owls Varsity 4, comprised of Alexis Coomey (cox), Brittany Adell (stroke), Allison Bates (3-seat), Ryan Ellenbaum (2-seat) and Sarah Jennings (bow), lost a close race to SJU.
The Owls next compete at the Dad Vail Regatta on May 7-8.
