Edmondson Ties For 4th at Rutherford Intercollegiate

University Park, PA - The Temple golf team tied for 12th place at the Rutherford Intercollegiate held on Penn State's 7,202 yard, par 72 Blue Course. In 13th place after completion of the second round on Sunday morning, the Owls posted their best score in the afternoon, picking up six strokes on George Mason to forge the tie in the 14-team field.
Junior Mark Edmondson led the Owls and tied for fourth overall (72-72-77=221). It was the first top 5 finish of his career. Junior Andrew Mason, who carded a 69 to tie for the best final round of any golfer in the field, tied for 23rd overall (79-80-69=228).
Junior Joe Kim (78-81-80=239) was next for Temple, tying for 60th while redshirt freshman Devin Bibeau (82-81-79=242, t-66) and senior Eric Plizko (85-82-88=255, 78th) rounded out the TU golfers.
Host Penn State won the event, defeating second place Towson by 20 strokes.
