HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, FL - Reigning Atlantic 10 Conference Golfer of the Week Mark Edmondson carded a one under-par 70 to tie for third place after the first day of play at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship held at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. As a team, Temple shot a 311, good for seventh place and 23 shots off of four-time defending champion Charlotte (288).
Edmondson, who tied for fourth at the Rutherford Intercollegiate last weekend, was three-stokes back of leader and three-time All-America Corey Nagy of Charlotte. Junior Andrew Mason was next for the Owls, shooting a five over-par 76 to tie for 18th. Redshirt freshman Devin Bibeau's 81 tied him for 36th on the leader board while junior Joseph Kim contributed an 84 to tie for 50th overall. Senior Eric Plisko shot a 94 for 57th place.
Second round play resumes Saturday morning.
