Cowart, Taylor, and Williams Compete On Day One At NCAA East Regional

Trio of Owls fare well against the region's best
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Senior Christiana Taylor and juniors Assata Cowart and Paris Williams opened action for the Temple women's track team at the NCAA East Regional, held on the campus of North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. The trio of athletes fared well against the regions best competitors.
Cowart took the highest finish out of the three on the day, placing 40th in the 400m hurdles in a time of 1:00.97. Williams ran the 400m dash, placing 46th in a time of 56.52.
Taylor competed in the long jump for the Owls, landing 18-6.5 for a 44th place finish.
Still left to compete for Temple is the women's 4x400m relay team, running at 9:45 p.m. on Saturday.
