Former Temple Assistant Coach Adam Pifer Named Head Golf Coach At Cabrini College

RADNOR, Pa. – Former Temple assistant men's golf coach and student-athlete Adam Pifer has been named the head golf coach at Cabrini College, announced today by Cabrini Director of Athletics & Recreation Joe Giunta. Pifer, who spent the 2010 season on the Owls' staff, takes the reins of a Cavaliers program that won consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) titles in 2008 and 2009, and posted a runner-up finish in 2010.
“We are very excited to welcome Adam to the Cabrini Athletics family,” Giunta said. “He is an intelligent, energetic and talented young man with a very bright future in coaching and golf. We are very fortunate to have him join the Cavaliers team.”
While with the Owls, Pifer oversaw the program's daily operations, including planning practice sessions and travel coordination. He also assisted in the areas of player development and recruiting.
Pifer also works as a golf professional and teaching instructor at the BQ Golf Academy in Conshohocken, Pa. He is responsible for providing private lessons, managing junior golf programs and operating segments of the academy's administrative functions.
Pifer earned four varsity letters at Temple from 2005 – 09, serving as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons. In 2009, he helped lead the Owls to a program-best fourth-place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship with a 26th-place individual performance.
“I'm very excited for the opportunity to coach the Cabrini golf team,” Pifer said. “College golf was a trememdous experience for myself and I hope to make it the same for the student-athletes at Cabrini.”
Pifer graduated from Temple in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. He resides in Telford, Pa.
