Women's Soccer Ready To Host Owl Eyes Classic This Weekend

Owls are coming off of a 7-0 win over Howard, take on Niagara and Hartford
PHILADELPHIA - Fresh off of a dominant 7-0 win over Howard last Sunday, the Temple women's soccer team (1-1-0) returns to Ambler Sports Complex this weekend to host the Owl Eyes Classic. The Owls face Niagara on Friday, August 27 at 4:00 p.m. and then do battle with Hartford on Sunday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m.
Also partaking in the tournament is Drexel, who squares off with Hartford on Friday at 2:00 p.m. and Niagara on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Temple was propelled by a seven point day from sophomore Kate Yurkovic in the season's first win over Howard. The Harrisburg, Pa. native (Central Dauphin) netted a single-game career high two goals and three assists earning Owlsports.com Athlete of the Week for her efforts.
Also having a stellar opening weekend was senior Kelly Diviny. Diviny led the Owls in their 4-2 loss to Villanova, scoring a goal and an assist in the contest. She came back in the Howard game setting up two of the seven TU goals, the team's best scoring performance since they topped Cleveland State 8-1 in 2007.
