Temple in 12th Place Starting Final Round of Adams Cup

Owls Look to Move Up Leaderboard in Final Round

Newport, R.I. - After the first two rounds of the 17th annual Adams Cup of Newport, the Temple Owls sit in 12th place among 17 teams. The Owls shot a combined total of 620 for the first two rounds.

Leading the way for Temple is senior Andrew Mason. Mason is tied for 16th overall and shot rounds of 77 and 73, giving him six-over par total of 150.

Freshman Connor McNicholas was next for the Cherry and White, shooting a 78 both rounds, for a combined total of 156 (+12). Freshman Russell Hartung was two shots back with a 158 (+14), putting him tied for 58th place.

Also competing individually is sophomore Devin Bibeau, who is tied in 63rd place, shooting a 159 (+15), and freshman Steve Burak who shot a 162 (+18) putting him tied in 74th.

The tournament concludes today with a final round of play. Next, the Owls compete at the Hartford Hawk Invitational on Saturday, September 25 in South Kent, CT.
