Owls Welcome Back Laura Altimari

Philadelphia-  Is it true that once you're an Owl, you're always an Owl? The Temple women's rowing team thinks so, and it shows as they welcome back former all-conference rower Laura Altimari as the new graduate extern. Altimari returns to the team as a graduate coach after rowing in the Women's Varsity 8 all four years as an undergrad, and being voted captain by her teammates during her senior season.

The women's rowing team is excited for her return in a different leadership position. "Our team had one of our most successful seasons under her leadership as a captain, so to have her in a position where she can view and evaluate our performance from the outside, with past experience on the inside, inspires a lot of confidence in the girls," says this year's co-captain and Varsity rower Brynn Moore. As a young team, with 15 underclassmen, Altimari looks forward to helping develop the team and foresees a bright future for Temple.

Laura graduated with a Bachelor's degree in education in January 2010, and is currently in the process of getting her Master's degree in Sports Administration at Temple.
