Four different Owls win on each apparatus

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Four different Owls took top honors on each apparatus as the Temple women's gymnastics team took down Ursinus, 188.225-179.025, Sunday afternoon. Freshman Sylvie Borschel had an impressive day, taking first on balance beam and finishing second on vault.
Borschel led the Owls to a dominant showing on balance beam, as six of the top seven spots were held by Temple gymnasts. Borschel led with a score of 9.675, followed by Ursinus' Katherine Gelinne with a score of 9.600. Freshman Brittanie DeMeno placed third with a score of 9.575, classmate Heather Zaniewski fourth with 9.500, junior Corrine Williams fifth with 9.350, sophomore Ebone Grant sixth with 9.000, and senior Marissa Oxenford seventh with 8.975.
Oxenford took first place on floor, scoring 9.600 to lead all gymnasts. Freshman Brianna Ferdinandi tied for second on floor, scoring 9.450.
On uneven bars, Temple was led by a first place score of 9.625 from senior Chelsea Troutman. The Owls finished one-two-three in the event, with Grant and Ho tying for second (9.525).
Senior Kaity Watson placed first on vault with a score of 9.625, followed by Borschel's second place score of 9.525.
Up next, Temple travels to take on Southern Connecticut State on January 29 at 1:00 p.m.
