Women's Basketball's Shey Peddy Named co-Big 5 Player of the Week

The honor is the second for Peddy this season and fifth overall for Temple
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Big 5 honored Shea Peddy (Jr., G) of Temple and Alyssa Baron (Fr., G) of Penn as Big 5 Women's Co-Players of the Week. It is the second such honor for Peddy this season, and the fifth for Temple women's basketball.
Peddy led the Owls to a 2-0 week, scoring a game-high 19 points and five steals in a 53-43 Atlantic 10 win over Saint Joseph's. She followed that up with 20 points, 3 steals, and game-highs in assists (6) and rebounds (8) in a 62-55 Big 5 win over Penn.
Baron averaged 20.0 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game and 2.0 steals per game against two Big 5 opponents. Baron had a game-high 17 points, including the game-winning free throws against La Salle. Baron tied a career high with 23 points in Penn's loss to Temple, and set career highs with five assists and three steals, while collecting four rebounds.
