NEW HAVEN, CT - Sophomore Steve Burak led Temple to a 10th place finish at the MacDonald Cup with a two-over par 142, placing in a tie for seventh overall, at the two-day event held at the Yale Golf Club. It marked the second event that Burak has led the Cherry and White this season.
Junior Devin Bibeau and sophomore Matthew Crescanzo were next for the Owls, tying for 37th overall with a +9 score of 149. Freshman Paul Carbone (152) was three strokes behind and tied for 56th while sophomore Russell Hartung (153/t-59th) rounded out the Temple five.
Yale won the 14-team tournament with a score of 565, finishing five strokes ahead of Ivy rival Princeton. The Owls were 25 strokes back with a 590, five strokes ahead of Penn and Central Connecticut State.
Temple returns home to host the Big 5 Invitational this coming weekend, October 8-9, at Plymouth Country Club.
