Paul Carbone Named A-10 Golf Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple freshman Paul Carbone has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Golf Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 16.
Carbone tied for first at the 17-team (88 individuals) Barnabas Health Intercollegiate, shooting an even-par 144 for the two-day tournament to lead Temple to a third-place finish over the weekend. The Huntingdon Valley, Pa. native (Archbishop Wood HS) carded a two-under 70, tying for the low round Sunday, to lift the Owls to third place in the 17-team field. He had seven birdies in the round.
For the season, he has a 75.0 stroke average, good for second on the team.
