Duo nearly pulls off upset of ninth-ranked tandem
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Filip and Kacper Rams were still active in doubles play on Sunday at the ITA Men's Atlantic Regional Championship, being held at the University of Virginia on October 20-25, 2011, at the Snyder Tennis Center.
The duo squared off against top-seeded and nationally ninth-ranked Maros Horny and John Collins of Maryland in the round of 16. For the second time in the last three years, the brothers nearly pulled off the upset of the top-seeded team at the event. Horny and Collins hung on for the narrow victory, however, defeating the Rams' duo 9-7.
The Temple men's tennis squad has completed play for the fall season. The team opens up spring play with a match at Maryland on January 15, 2012.
