Temple to Host Big 5 Golf Invitational October 8-9

PHILADELPHIA – Temple will host the annual Big 5 Golf Invitational this weekend at the Plymouth Country Club in Norristown, Pa. The two-day event, which will take place from Saturday October 8th to Sunday October 9th, will include 22 teams from various conferences including all six Division I universities in the Philadelphia region. (Temple, Penn, Villanova, Saint Joseph's, La Salle, and Drexel).

In addition to the six Philadelphia teams, other schools that will be making an appearance include Binghamton, Brown, Campbell, Cornell, Dartmouth, Fordham, Francis Marion, Furman, George Mason, Harvard, Navy, Princeton, Seton Hall, Yale, St. John's, and Towson.

In last year's event, Temple placed 14^th out of the 21 teams, shooting a 598. Furman went on to win the two-day event with a 574 beating second place St. John's by eight strokes.
