PHILADELPHIA - A day before the Atlantic 10 Championships get underway in St. Louis, Mo. at Hermann Stadium, the conference announced its list of postseason award winners. Temple senior Tyler Witmer was garnered with honorable mention for the second straight season.
Witmer wrapped up his final regular season in a Temple uniform in second place on the team in scoring. Having four goals and a team-high three assists, Witmer finished the year with 11 points. Back on Oct. 1, the Wernersville, Pa. native led the Owls to victory in their final non-conference match of the season.
The senior forward did not miss a game in his Temple career until this season. In the four games Witmer scored a goal, the Owls were 4-0-0 for the second year in a row.
Heading into Thursday night's Atlantic 10 Tournament first round match with the La Salle Explorers, Witmer is ninth place on Temple's all-time list in goals scored with 27.
