Witmer Named to NSCAA Men's Collegiate Scholar All-America Team

PHILADELPHIA – Senior Tyler Witmer has been recognized as one of 68 players in the nation to earn a selection to the 2011 NSCAA Men's Collegiate Scholar All-America Team. Earning a grade point average of 3.39 while studying Kinesiology, Witmer was named to the nation's second team.
The recognition for Witmer marks the third time this postseason that he was selected for an honor. Following the regular season, Witmer was given A-10 Honorable Mention for the second straight season before being tabbed to the NSCAA's Mid-Atlantic Second Team along with teammate Cody Calafiore back on Dec. 9.
The 68 honorees will be recognized at the annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in the Kansas City Convention Center's Grand Ballroom on Saturday, Jan. 14, in conjunction with the 2012 NSCAA Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
