Borschel set season-highs on floor and beam at Bulldog Invitational
PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's gymnast freshman Sylvie Borschel has been named ECAC Co-Rookie of the Week, sharing the award with Michelle Shnayder of Brown University. For Borschel, it is the second time this season she has been honored with this weekly award.
A native of Springfield, Va., Borschel set season-highs on floor (9.750) and beam (9.725) at the Bulldog Invitational hosted by Yale this past weekend. Taking first on both apparatus, Borschel helped the Owls to a team season-high score of 191.600 to win the meet.
The Temple women's gymnastics team is back in action this weekend, as the Owls travel to compete in the Towson Invitational on February 20.
