Owls tie season-best with 191.600

TOWSON, Md.
- The Temple women's gymnastics team matched its season-best score of 191.600 as the Owls placed third at the Shelli Calloway Memorial Invitational hosted by Towson University on Sunday afternoon.  Junior Corrine Williams placed second on two events en route to a first place finish all-around.

Towson won the meet with a team total of 192.425, with Penn taking second (191.950), the Owls third, Cornell fourth (190.800) and Ursinus finishing fifth (185.050).

Williams led all-around with a score of 38.950, posting second place finishes on beam and uneven bars.  She was the lone Owl to place in the top 10 on beam, scoring 9.750.  On uneven bars, Williams tied for second with Penn's Dana Bonincontri and also placed third on floor (9.800).  Freshman Sylvie Borschel fared well on floor with a fifth place score of 9.750.

On vault, junior Kaity Watson and senior Marissa Oxenford finished fifth and seventh for Temple, posting scores of 9.775 and 9.700, respectively. 

Up next for the Owls is a trip to the Maryland Invitational on February 27.
