NORFOLK, Va. – The Temple men's tennis team took a 6-1 decision from Norfolk State on Saturday, March 12. The Owls improve to 8-4 with the win.
TU grabbed the early lead with the doubles point. After Norfolk State took the number one match, the Owls responded by winning the final two to come away with the point. Kacper Rams and Dmitry Vizhunov won 8-2 at number two, and Mansur Gishkaev and Taylor Hairston sealed it with an 8-5 win at third doubles.
Arsenio Culver defeated Filip Rams, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 1 singles to give NSU its lone point of the afternoon.
Temple is back in action on March 17 with a 12:30 p.m. match against Delaware at Arthur Ashe Tennis Center.
