Golf Concludes Furman Intercollegiate, Placing 22nd

GREENVILLE, SC - The Temple golf team finished 22nd in the three-day Furman Intercollegiate, which concluded Sunday at the Furman Golf Club. The Owls combined for a 924 (318-296-310) for the tournament.
Andrew Mason led the Owls carding an 11 over-par 227 (78-71-78) for the three days to tie for 63rd overall. Connor McNicholas, who turned in a two over-par 74 on the final day, to finish one stroke behind Mason and tied for 69th overall. Devin Bibeau (81-73-84, 238) tied for 115th with Joe Kim (82-80-78, 240) andSteve Burak (82-80-80, 242) rounding out the Temple squad.
The Clemson (287-289-272=848) fired a tournament record round of 272 (-16) to clinch its second straight Furman Intercollegiate title while Purdue's William Sjaichudin (65-69-72=206) claimed individual medalist honors.
The Owls next compete at the Yale Spring Opener on April 2.
