Owls' freshman grabs weekly honor for third time this season
PHILADELPHIA - For the third time this season, Temple women's gymnast freshman Sylvie Borschel has been named the ECAC Women's Gymnastics Rookie of the Week, announced the league today. Borschel hit three for three this past weekend against some strong competition at the Missouri Quad-Meet.
Borschel had another great meet for the Owls this past weekend against University of Missouri, Southeast Missouri State University, and Centenary College. She hit three for three having all of her scored count towards the team total. She was the top scorer for the Owls on balance beam where she earned a season high 9.825 and took fourth overall on that event.
The Temple women's gymnastics team is in action again this weekend, competing locally at the Penn Quad-Meet on Sunday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m.
