Burak Named A10 Golf Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Temple freshman Steve Burak has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Golf Rookie of the Week for the week ending April 10. Burak, a native of North Easton, Mass. (Thayer Academy), earns his second career weekly honor.
Burak claimed the second best finish on Temple's squad that placed fifth out of 12 teams at the Princeton Invitational. He shot an eight-over 211 to finish in a tie for 20th place out of 68 participating golfers. Burak opened with a 2-over par 73 before closing out the invitational shooting an even-par 71. It marked Burak's second top 20 finish of the season.
The Owls next compete at the Yale Invitational this Saturday and Sunday.
