Softball Cancels Fourth-Straight Doubleheader Due to Weather; Alters Weekend Series at La Salle

Squad has not played since April 3; will face Explorers in doubleheader Friday

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Temple softball games against Saint Peter's, scheduled for Wednesday, April 13, at 3 p.m. at Ambler Field, have been canceled due to unplayable field conditions. With the rain that has saturated the East Coast for much of the last two weeks, the Owls have not played since April 3.

Due to more rain in the forecast this weekend, the Cherry and White are altering their weekend series at La Salle. TU and the Explorers were set to play two single games on Friday and Saturday, April 15-16, but will now play a doubleheader on Friday at the West Campus Softball Field, beginning at 3 p.m.

Temple is 16-18 overall and 7-3 in Atlantic 10 play. The Owls currently sit in a three-way tie for third place in the conference standings and are vying for their first playoff appearance since the 2007 season. La Salle is 2-25 overall and 0-8 in league play.
