COLLINGSWOOD, NJ - Temple will race four boats in the 16th annual Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championship will take place on the Cooper River on Saturday, April 16. The race times were moved up due to the threat of inclement weather with the first heat, which includes the Owls' varsity 8, starting at 7:00 a.m. The finals will be held between 9:20 and 11:10 a.m.
Temple turned in its best performance at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Rowing Championships since 1998, tying for third place with Saint Joseph's The Owls totalled 39 points, one behind second place Massachusetts (40 pts). Rhode Island won its second A-10 title with 53 points.
Besides the Varsity 8, the Owls, under the direction of head coach Tim Hagan, will also compete in the Second Varsity 8, the Varsity 4 and the Quad.
