Softball's Kristen Marris Named to Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team

Senior pitcher tossed three complete games for Owls
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Temple senior pitcher Kristen Marris has picked up another honor for the 2011 season. The right handed hurler has been named to the 2011 Atlantic 10 Softball All-Tournament Team, announced by conference officials at the conclusion of the Championship on Saturday, May 14, 2011.
The A-10 tournament was held in Charlotte, N.C. at the D.L. Phillips Softball Complex, from May 11-14. Top-seeded Fordham defeated #3 Saint Joseph's, 4-0, in the championship game to claim the Rams' first A-10 title.
Marris tossed all 21 innings for Temple at the tournament, a 1-2 showing for the Owls. She posted a 3.67 ERA through three games. Her 10 strikeouts brought her total for the season to 141, matching her total from a year ago and tying her for second place on the Temple single-season strikeout list.
Temple finished the season at 22-23 overall, matching its best win total since the 2006 season.
