Women's Track & Field Closes Out Action At ECAC Championships

Cowart slides into 400m hurdles finals, places fifth
PRINCETON, N.J. - The Temple women's track & field team closed out competition at the ECAC Championships on Sunday at Princeton University, finishing 35th overall as a team. Senior Assata Cowart earned a spot in the 400m hurdles finals as an alternate and made the most of it, running a time of 1:00.52 to place fifth overall.
In the 4x400m relay finals, freshman Ambrosia Iwugo, senior Paris Williams, senior Shadaya Bennett and senior Tashima Stephens teammed up to run a time of 3:45.05 to place fifth.
Junior Alanna Owens fared well in the shot put, placing 18th with a mark of 12.89m.
