PHILADELPHIA - Senior Assata Cowart and sophomore Victoria Gocht will be representing the Temple women's track & field team at the NCAA East Regional Championships, held May 26-28 at Indiana University. Cowart will run in the 400m hurdles preliminary while Gocht takes to the track in the 800m run.
Cowart set her season-best at the Atlantic 10 Championships, winning the 400m hurdles in a time of 59.74. She most recently competed in the event at the ECAC Championships, where she placed fifth in a time of 1:00.52. Gocht also ran her top time at the conference championships where she was the gold medal winner in the 800m. Returning to form after sitting out the indoor season due to injury, the Dresher, Pa., native's season-best is 2:08.34.
