26th Owl Club Classic Presented by Kimmel-Bogrette Architecture + Site Announces Sellout
5.27.11 | General
With nearly a month to spare before teeoff, the Temple athletics development office is proud to announce that the department's largest annual golf fundraiser, the 26th Annual Owl Club Classic presented by Kimmel-Bogrette Architecture + Site, is sold out.
The event, slated for Monday, June 20 at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa., returns its net proceeds to the Owl Club Unrestricted Fund, which benefits the greatest annual needs of more than 565 Temple student-athletes across 24 sport programs. This year marks the first time the Classic will be hosted by White Manor, after a long and productive run at fellow area club Lu Lu.
"Simply put, the response to this year's Classic has been outstanding," said Associate Athletics Director for Development Scott Koskoski. "Folks are excited about the opportunity to access an outstanding facility in White Manor. What's more, though, there's been no better time to be a Temple Owl. Our program is truly achieving - academically, athletically and socially - and our alumni and friends are excited to be a part. We're especially grateful to Martin Kimmel and Jim Bogrette, partners with Kimmel-Bogrette Architecture + Site, for returning this year as Presenting Sponsor."
While all 128 playing spots are reserved, registration is still open for the Auction & Dinner presented by Front Row Marketing & New Era to begin at 5 p.m. following golf. In continuing with a "format change" theme, the usual sit-down dinner has been replaced by a high-end cocktail reception with multiple food stations featuring the best work of White Manor's executive chef Drew Smalbach. The reception will be followed by a sit-down dessert and coffee while Temple coaches Steve Addazio (football), Fran Dunphy (men's basketball) and Tonya Cardoza (women's basketball) preview their upcoming campaigns and Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw provides an update.
To register for the Auction & Dinner, please visit www.MyOwlSpace.com/events or contact the Temple Owl Club at (215) 204-CLUB. Cost is $60, with proceeds benefitting all Temple student-athletes.
