9th Annual Owl Club Auction Sets New Record

PHILADELPHIA - Over 30 event-day volunteers, each of Temple's sport programs and nearly 175 item donors joined the Owls' athletics development staff in setting another record for Temple Athletics as the 9th Annual Owl Club Auction took center stage at The Liacouras Center on Saturday, Jan. 28.

The popular one-day event generated over $77,000 of revenue to benefit more than 565 Temple student-athletes across the university's 24 varsity sports. Saturday's event featured a 149-lot silent auction, an 12-item live auction featuring unique Temple and sporting experiences and a special tradition: the "Basket of Cheer," a selection of gourmet wines and spirits that netted a new record for raffle revenue.

Owl Club Executive Board members Amy Larovere and Bill Barnes co-chaired this 9th annual Owl Club Auction.

"We want to thank our incredible group of volunteers and contributors," said Development Associate Jenna Rankin. "Their dedication led to an incredible success for our student-athletes. Thank you to all who participated, and we look forward to further success in the future.
