Phil Steele Honors Seven Owls with Midseason All-BIG EAST Honors

CLEVELAND – Phil Steele has honored seven Temple football players as members of his 2012 midseason All-BIG EAST Conference teams.
The only Owl named to the All-BIG EAST first team was senior Brandon McManus (Hatfield, Pa.), and he earned first-team recognition at both placekicker and punter.
Named to the All-BIG EAST second team were seniors C Sean Boyle (Towson, Md.), OL Martin Wallace (New York, N.Y.), and DE Marcus Green (Scotch Plains, N.J.).
Earning third-team recognition were senior DL John Youboty (Houston, Texas), freshman Nate D. Smith (Highland Park, N.J.), and senior PR Matt Brown (Baltimore, Md.).
Under the guidance of second-year head coach Steve Addazio, Temple (2-2, 1-0 BIG EAST) travels to Connecticut (3-3, 0-1) on Oct. 13 for a 1 p.m. game. ESPN3 will broadcast the game online.
