PHILADELPHIA –
Holding first place in the Atlantic 10 Conference with a 3-0-1 record, Temple Men's Soccer has been ranked No. 7 in the Mid-Atlantic Region in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll.

Over the weekend, the Owls drew a 0-0 tie at Rhode Island and defeated Massachusetts, 2-0, to get off to their best start in A-10 play since 2003. Led by 13-year head coach David MacWilliams, Temple is 7-4-2 through its first 13 games and is currently undefeated in its last five games, while also winning six of its last eight.

In the poll that was released, all six teams ranked ahead of Temple are out of the A-10: Xavier, Saint Louis, Virginia Commonwealth, Charlotte, Dayton and La Salle.

Putting a perfect 5-0-0 home record on the line at the Ambler Sports Complex this weekend, the Owls will look to move up in the rankings when they do battle with A-10 newcomer Butler on Friday at 2:30 p.m. before welcoming No. 23 Saint Louis on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
