Crescenzo Leads Field and Temple at Barnabas Health Intercollegiate

CHATHAM, NJ – Sophomore Matthew Crescenzo shot an even-par 71 to tie for the overall lead after Sunday's first round of the 2012 Barnabas Health Intercollegiate hosted by Seton Hall University at Fairmount Country Club. Crescenzo, who tied his lowest round of the fall season, helped propel Temple (296) to third place among the 11 competing teams, just five shots behind the leader, Long Island (291).
Sophomore Paul Carbone also tied his low fall round, carding a two-over 73 to tie for sixth place while four-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Brandon Matthews and senior Devin Bibeau were five shots off the pace and tied for 20th with a five over 76s. Sophomore Conor Dunne rounded out the Temple squad with an 82 to tie fof 43rd.
Saint Peter's was in second place, four shots behind LIU with a 295. Manhattan was in fourth with a 301 and was followed by Iona (303), St. Francis (PA) (305), Fairleigh Dickinson (309, Monmouth (311), Seton Hall (312), Wagner (334) and St. Francis (NY) (341).
