This past Friday evening in a quad-meet at Illinois State, Canning was Temple's top finisher in two of the four events in which the Owls (190.250) came third behind Illinois State (193.625) and Seattle Pacific (191.600), while beating out University of Wisconsin-Stout (178.625).
Canning led the Owls in two of the four events she competed. On vault, she put up her highest score of the season with 9.825, winning her the event. Canning showcased a strong performance on the beam, as she tied with Illinois State's Melissa Mann for the event title (9.775).
