Prezioso, Stermel and Cook each collect two hits in victory
CLEARWATER, Fla. - Sarah Prezioso, Alex Stermel and Kayla Cook each collected a pair of hits as the Temple softball team defeated Wisconson (Green Bay), 3-0, in the final game of the USF Under Armour Showcase on Sunday in Clearwater, Fla.
Capri Catalano threw a complete game for the Owls, allowing just four hits, to pick up her first win of the season and TU's first shutout. Catalano also fanned five and walked just two in the 7.0 inning outing.
The Owls are 7-8 after three challenging tournaments to open the season. The squad returns from its southern trip to take on Delaware in a doubleheader in Newark on Wednesday, March 14 at 2:30 p.m. Temple's first home game is slated for Saturday, March 17, when the team plays host to Philadelphia rival Penn in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
