Golf Remains in 21st Place After Second Round of Furman Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, SC - Temple freshman Paul Carbone shot a two-under 70 during the second day of competition Saturday at the Furman Intercollegiate to move into a tie for 57th while the Owls golf team improved 10 strokes overall but remained in 21st heading into Sunday's final round of play.
Junior Devin Bibeau and sophomore Matthew Crescenzo freshman Paul Carbone were tied for 115th place with 13 over-par 157 while freshman Mike Amole was five strokes back (80-82, 162) in 123rd place. Sophomore Russell Hartung rounded out the Owls squad (88-82, 170 125th place).
As a team, Temple combined for 624, 48 over-par. Clemson leads the strong field of 21 teams with a 10-under score of 566.
Play concludes Sunday in the three-day event.
