Golf Concludes Furman Intercollegiate in 21st Place

GREENVILLE, SC - The Temple golf team completed its first spring tournament Sunday, placing 21st at the Furman Intercollegiate. Clemson established a new 54-hole tournament record at 26-under par en route to its third consecutive Furman Intercollegiate title at the par-72, 6,994-yard Furman University Golf Club. Coastal Carolina's Sebastian Soderberg (-12) carded his third straight 68 to capture individual medalist honors.
For the Owls, freshman Paul Carbone tied for 102nd with a three-day total of 230 (78-70-82) to lead the Cherry and White. Junior Devin Bibeau (78-79-79) shot a 236 to tie for 115th while sophomore Matthew Crescenzo carded a 241 (81-76-84), tying for 120th. Freshman Mike Amole (80-8283, 245) and sophomore Russell Hartung (88-82-93, 263) rounded out the Owls squad in 123rd and 124th place, respectively.
Temple next competes at the Wildcat Invitational on April 3-4.
