Golf Places 12th After Day One at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - The Temple golf team placed 12 out of 14 teams after two rounds at the Princeton Invitational Saturday afternoon. The tournament, held at the 6,390-yard, par 71 Springdale Golf Club concludes Sunday.
Junior Devin Bibeau (70-77, 147) led the Owls and tied for 20th with a six-over 147. Freshman Paul Carbone (74-78) and sophomore Matthew Crescenzo (77-75) were tied for 43rd overall with 152s while freshman Mike Amole (79-80, 159) was seven shots back and tied for 68th. Sophomore Russell Hartung (83-78, 161) rounded out the Owls squad in 70th place.
Georgetown and Yale are tied for the tournament lead with 575 scores while Harvard golfer Tony Grillo (67-71, 138) was the overall leader at four-under. Columbia was third with a 576 and was followed by Harvard (577), Princeton (578), Penn (582), Dartmouth (582), Cornell (602), Rutgers (603),Brown (604), Saint Joseph's (606) Temple (608), Princeton B (609) and Rider (629).
