Owls Compete at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - Under the lights of Weaver Stadium, six members of the Temple track and field team competed in day one of Princeton University's annual Larry Ellis Invitational on Friday evening.

On the men's side, senior Lou Parisi had a 15th place finish in the elite 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.54, Sophomore Will Kellar came just footsteps behind him, a he crossed the finish line milliseconds after at 1:51.81.

Sophomore Phil Fanz's time of 9:26.16 earned him a 37th place finish in the 3000 meter steeplechase. Freshman Cullen Davis was the lone runner for the Owls in the 1500 meter run, as he finished the event in 3:51.66.

Running for the women, freshman Jenna Dubrow completed the 5000 meter run in 17:17.77 and junior Tonney Smith crossed the finish line of the 800 meter run in 2:13.84.

Temple will pick up competition in the Larry Ellis Invite on Saturday.
